Kevin Carberry (born May 19, 1983) is an Americanfootball coach and formerdefensive lineman who is the offensive line coach for theTampa Bay Buccaneers of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theOhio Bobcats prior to playing professionally, spending time as a member of theDetroit Lions,Berlin Thunder ofNFL Europe,New York Dragons and thePhiladelphia Soul of theArena Football League (AFL).

College career

Carberry was a four-year letterman atOhio, where he was named a second-team All-MAC selection in 2004 as a team captain.[1] He graduated fromOhio in 2005 with a degree in marketing.

Professional career

After going undrafted in the2005 NFL draft, Carberry attended theCleveland Browns training camp but did not make the roster.[2] He was signed to theDetroit Lions practice squad for the remainder of the 2005 season. After a stint with theBerlin Thunder ofNFL Europe in spring 2006, Carberry attended the training camp of theCarolina Panthers but was not signed. After spending 2007 with theNew York Dragons of theArena Football League, Carberry joined thePhiladelphia Soul in 2008, and was a member of the Soul when they capturedArenaBowl XXII in 2008.[3]

Coaching career

Carberry coached atSt. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago during the Arena Football League offseasons as the program's defensive coordinator and special teams coach.[4] At the conclusion of his playing career, he joined the coaching staff atKansas Jayhawks as a graduate assistant before going on toStephen F. Austin as the defensive ends coach in 2012.[5]

Dallas Cowboys

Carberry joined theDallas Cowboys coaching staff in 2014 as an offensive assistant.

Washington Redskins

Carberry departed to join theWashington Redskins in 2016 as their assistant offensive line coach under former Cowboys offensive coordinatorBill Callahan.[6]

Stanford

Carberry was named the run game coordinator and offensive line coach atStanford in 2018.[7]

Los Angeles Rams

Carberry was hired as the offensive line coach for theLos Angeles Rams in 2021, reuniting him with former Washington offensive coordinatorSean McVay.[8][9] In Carberry's first season with the Rams, they wonSuper Bowl LVI against theCincinnati Bengals.[10] He was fired on January 18, 2023.[11]

New Orleans Saints

On February 15, 2023, theNew Orleans Saints hired Carberry as their assistant offensive line coach.[12]

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

On February 14, 2024, Carberry was named as the offensive line coach for theTampa Bay Buccaneers.[13]
