Keolis Downer Northern Beaches[1] is a bus operator inSydney, Australia. A subsidiary ofKeolis Australia, it operates services inSydney Bus Region 8 on theLower North Shore andNorthern Beaches under contract toTransport for NSW. Its headquarters are located atBrookvale Bus Depot.[2]

History

In October 2019, theGovernment of New South Wales announced that the bus operations ofState Transit were to be contracted out to the private sector.[3] In May 2021,Keolis Downer was awarded the contract to operateSydney Bus Region 8.[4] Keolis Downer Northern Beaches (KDNB) commenced operating on 31 October 2021 with its contract to run for eight years.[5]

Fleet

As of April 2025, the fleet consists of 403 buses operating from three depots.[6]

These includeVolvo B12BLE's &B12BLEA's,Volvo B7RLE's,Volvo B8RLE's,Volvo B10BLE's,Scania K310UB's,MAN ND323F's, Bustech CDi's, Custom Denning Element 2's &Iveco Metro's.[7][8][9]
