Kenneth Edward Greene (born May 8, 1956) is an American former professionalfootball player who was asafety in theNational Football League (NFL) for seven seasons, for theSt. Louis Cardinals from 1978 to 1982 andSan Diego Chargers from 1983 to 1984.

Early life

Born inLewiston, Idaho, Greene graduated fromOmak High School in 1974 and playedcollege football atWashington State University in thePacific-8 Conference. He was selected in thefirst round of the1978 NFL draft (19th overall), the Cougars' first selection in the first round inthirteen years.[1]

Coaching career

Greene began coaching football in 1994, atVallivue High School in southwesternIdaho. Greene later coached atFresno State University,Purdue University, and Washington State University.[2]

Personal life

He appeared in the13th season ofThe Amazing Race. His partner was his wife, Tina Greene.[3] The goal on the race was to try to mend their broken marriage. They finished the race in second place, but agreed to give their marriage another try.[4]
