Keith Leonard Kartz (born May 5, 1963) is an American former professionalfootballcenter andtackle in theNational Football League (NFL) for theDenver Broncos.[citation needed] In 1990, hestarted inSuper Bowl XXIV as a center for the Broncos.[1]
Kartz was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and went toSan Dieguito High School inEncinitas, California.[2] He was a high school football standout, but lost his senior season to knee injury.[2]
A student at theUniversity of California, Berkeley, Kartz played for theCalifornia Golden Bears football team.[2] At the end of his senior season, he was named to theAll-Pac-10 first team.[2]
