Keerthilatha Abeywickrama

Keerthilatha Premawathie Abeywickrama was aSri Lankan politician and a Member of theParliament of Sri Lanka.[1]Abeywickrama was the daughter ofPadikara MuhandiramDon Pedris Francis Abeywickrama and Catharina Liyanage fromMorawaka, Sri Lanka. She joined theUnited National Party and was appointed as a Member of Parliament for theDeniyaya Electoral District on 11 September 1987 after her brotherKeerthisena was killed in the1987 grenade attack in the Sri Lankan Parliament.[2][3][4] She was the cousin ofSumanadasa Abeywickrama, a former Deputy Minister of Agriculture Development & Research and Member of Parliament forAkmeemana.[citation needed]
