Kebede Balcha (7 September 1951 – 10 July 2018) was amarathonrunner fromEthiopia. He won thesilver medal at the1983 World Championships. He is the current record holder for theMontreal International Marathon with 2 hours 10 minutes 3 seconds in 1983.[1] In 1999, he sought asylum inToronto, where he lived until his death in 2018.[2]
