Katsumi Yanagishima (柳島 克巳,Yanagishima Katsumi, born 1950,Gifu Prefecture), also credited as Katsumi Yanagijima,^[1] is a Japanesecinematographer.

Yanagishima has worked withTakeshi Kitano in many of his films, includingA Scene at the Sea,Sonatine,Zatoichi,Kids Return,Kikujiro andDolls. He won theJapan Academy Prize for best cinematography forGo! in 2002^[2] and forZatoichi in 2004.^[3]Battle Royale andThe Grudge 2 are some of his other known films.
