TheKatipunan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KNP orKANP,lit.'Society of United Filipinos') is apolitical party in thePhilippines. The party was founded in June 19, 2020 by Kerby Salazar, aprovincial board member fromCavite, to be a platform foryouth empowerment in the national government.[1]

History

In October 2021, KANP welcomed lawyerChel Diokno as its party member and senatorial candidate for the upcoming2022 Philippine general elections. The party also adopted presidential aspirantVice PresidentLeni Robredo, vice presidential aspirantSenatorKiko Pangilinan, and senatorial aspirant and former CongressmanTeddy Baguilat as their national candidates.[2]

In May 2024, former senatorBam Aquino announced he had assumed the role of KANP's party chairman after leaving theLiberal Party.[3] He has also stated his intention to run in the2025 Senate elections.[4] As the chairman of KANP, he formed a coalition with his former party to form acoalition duo with his former Senate colleague Pangilinan.
