Katie Hooten is an American actress and film producer. She is married to Timothy Hooten, and is the sister of filmmakersCory Edwards andTodd Edwards. As a child she participated in theatre, and along with her brothers, madeSuper 8 home videos.[1]She is a graduate ofAnderson University, of which her father is the president.[2]After performing with her brothers and her husband in the 1999independent filmChillicothe, directed by Todd Edwards,[1] she joinedThe Walt Disney Company, working as apost-production coordinator on the filmsAtlantis: The Lost Empire,Spirited Away, andLilo & Stitch, and as an assistant production manager on the short filmsDestino andLorenzo. She served as anassociate producer on the 2005independent animated filmHoodwinked, directed by Cory Edwards, Todd Edwards, andTony Leech. The film, which was one of the first fully independently funded computer-animated films,[3][4]received mixed reviews,[5] and earned over $110 million worldwide.[6]Along with her husband, she served as a producer on the 2010 independent filmJeffie Was Here, directed by Todd Edwards.[7]Both her husband and her daughter Eva were diagnosed withLeukemia within the same year, however Eva was cured after two years of treatment.[8]
