Kathrine Østergaard Larsen (born 5 May 1993) is a Danish former professionalfootballer who played as agoalkeeper for theDenmark national team. Larsen had a versatile career, playing in her home country, and Scandinavian neighbours Sweden and Norway, as well as in Australia and Italy. She earned 8 caps and 5 clean sheets over 5 years with the national team from 2020–2025.

Club career

During her teenage years, she played, among other things, forBallerup-Skovlunde Fodbold. In 2015, she switched toBrøndby IF. In 2019 she played forFC Nordsjælland and in 2020 she played forDjurgårdens IF inDamallsvenskan.[2][3] In 2021, she switched to theNorwegian clubKlepp IL, who play in theToppserien.

In February 2024, Larsen joined Australian clubWestern United until the end of the2023–24 A-League Women season.[4]

International career

Larsen made her debut for Denmark in anAlgarve Cup fixture againstSweden. She made a close-range save from aLina Hurtig shot in a 2–1 victory for the Danes.[5] She played her second international match on 21 October 2020, when Denmark beatIsrael 4–0 at home.[citation needed]
