Kate Arnell (née Edmondson, born 1983)[1] is a Britishtelevision presenter, best known for her work withMTV andCBBC.

She was bornKate Edmondson inPortsmouth, England, in 1983.[1]

Career

In 2006, Arnell was selected after a nationwide search[2] to presentThe Loaded Hour,[3] sponsored byLoaded magazine, onFreeview channelTMF and has since gone on to presentTMF Live andTMF Kicks,Totally Boyband Live on sister channelMTV, andQ the Music on Q/The Hits!

Arnell was aradio presenter onPure FM, the student radio station at theUniversity of Portsmouth, where she readmedia studies.[2] Both her parents worked at the university at the time.[2]

Arnell appeared in the popularCBBC showHider in the House alongsideJason King andJoel Ross in 2008, and presented theTeen 24 slot for theBBC News channel.

From 26 October to 7 November 2008, she was also the host for the official webisodes of theSony Ericsson FanWalk. Eighteenwebisodes were released following the fanwalkers for a course of nine days.[4] She also made a cameo appearance onThe Legend of Dick and Dom in the episode where the crew have to find the mists of time alongside Chloe Bale,Richard McCourt,Dominic Wood andSteve Furst.

Arnell has occasionally presented theBBC's coverage of theNational Lottery Draws, mainly the midweek and FridayEuroMillions draws and in 2013, she co-presented theCBBC showWho Let the Dogs Out and About.

Previously, Arnell hosted the YouTube channel "Anglophenia".[1] She then went on to create her own YouTube channel "Eco-Boost" in 2015, teaching her viewers about zero-waste living, organic fashion and eco-friendly alternatives. She also wrote a book, "Six Weeks to Zero Waste" in 2020 surrounding these topics.

Arnell is married. Her brother,Matt Edmondson, is known for his work withBBC Radio 1 andITV2.
