Kassun al-Jabal (Arabic:كاسون الجبل) is a village in centralSyria, administratively part of theHama Governorate, located east ofHama city. According to theSyria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Kassun al-Jabal had a population of 586 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants areSunni Muslims.
Kassun al-Jabal was owned by theBani Khalid, partly nomadicBedouin tribe in central Syria, in the early 20th century. Its inhabitants wereSunni Muslim Arabs of Bedouin origin.[2]
