Kasper Søndergaard Sarup (born 9 June 1981) is a Danish formerhandball player forSkjern Håndbold and theDanish national team and current handball coach.
He is a double European champion, winning the2008 and2012 European Men's Handball Championship with the Danish national team. He also has three medals from theWorld Men's Handball Championship, a bronze in2009 and two silver, in2011 and2013.[1]
Søndergaard started atIkast fS, but his breakthrough came atAGF Håndbold, who he signed for in 2003. In 2005 he came second in the Danish league with AGF, before switching toKIF Kolding. Here he won theDanish League in 2009. In 2011 he switched toSkjern Håndbold, where he played out the last 11 years of his playing career.
After his playing career he has worked as the assistant coach for the Danish handball clubSkjern Håndbold, and he has said that he aspires to become a head coach one day.[2]
