Karl Stürmer (9 October 1882 – 1943) was an Austrian professionalfootballer andmanager.
As a footballer, he grew up in Wiener Cricket; then he played asfull-back forFirst Vienna FC and asmidfielder forWiener AC.[1]
With Wiener AC he won aTagblatt Pokal in 1901.[2] He played two matches withAustria national team.[3]
In 1918 Stürmer began a long career as manager in Austria and Italy.
He managedReggiana andPrato inDivisione Nazionale andTorino,Alessandria,Lazio,Livorno andJuventus (asVirginio Rosetta assistant) inSerie A.[1][4]
He died in 1943, shot by the Germans inFaenza, Italy, during Nazi German occupation of the country inWorld War II.[5]
