Karl-Heinz Hopp (20 November 1936 – 11 February 2007) was aGermanrower who competed for theUnited Team of Germany in the1960 Summer Olympics.
Hopp was born inAllenstein, which is today called Olsztyn situated inPoland.[1]
At the1958 European Rowing Championships inPoznań, he won a gold medal with the coxless four.[2] At the1959 European Rowing Championships inMâcon, he won a gold medal with the eight.[3] At the1960 Summer Olympics, he was a crew member of the Germaneight that won gold.[1] At the1961 European Rowing Championships inPrague, he won a gold medal with the coxed four.[4]
After rowing, Hopp swapped topentathlon and most enjoyed the equestrian part. He became a vet and had a large horse stable with his wife. He died inLübeck on 11 February 2007.[1]
