Karasu (Kazakh:Қарасу ауданы,Qarasu audany) is adistrict ofKostanay Region in northernKazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is theselo ofKarasu.[3] Population: 27,879 (2013 estimate);[2] 29,238 (2009 census results);[4] 37,360 (1999 census results).[4]

Geography

TheUlken Damdi river, as well as lakeKushmurun, are located in the district, the latter at the border with neighboringAuliekol District.[5]
