Kankipadu was one of theLegislative Assembly constituencies ofAndhra Pradesh inIndia.[2] It was inKrishna district.
The Kankipadu constituency was first created for theMadras State Legislative Assembly in 1952 by the 1951 delimitation.[3] After the passing of theStates Reorganisation Act, 1956, it became a part of the newAndhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.[4] After the passing of theDelimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 1976, its extent was the Kankipadu, Poranki and Vijayawada firks in Vijayawada taluk excluding vijayawada municipality ofKrishna district.[2]
It was not present in theDelimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008 and hence was defunct as of the2009 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election.[5]
