Kanathur, also spelledKannathur, is a southern neighbourhood ofChennai,Tamil Nadu,India. It is located on theEast Coast Road connecting Chennai andPondicherry. Thepostal index code of the neighbourhood is 603112.

The neighbourhood is known for theJagannath Temple built in 2001 and its annualratha yathra (chariot procession).[1]
