Kameda (亀田郡,Kameda-gun) is adistrict located inOshima Subprefecture,Hokkaido,Japan.

As of 2004, the district has an estimatedpopulation of 39,166 and adensity of 111.43 persons per km². The total area is 351.49 km² (136 miles²).

• On December 1, 2004, the towns ofEsan andToi, and the village ofTodohokke merged into the expanded city ofHakodate.^[1]
• On February 1, 2006, the town ofŌno merged with the town ofKamiiso, fromKamiiso District, to form the new city ofHokuto.^[1]
