Kalione NasokoMOF[1] (born 2 December 1990) is the current captain of theFiji national rugby sevens team to the2018 Oceania Sevens Championship and the 2018 Dubai Sevens.[2] Nasoko was awarded player of the final at the2017 Hong Kong Sevens Tournament[3] where Fiji beat theSouth Africa Sevens Team 22-0.[4] Nasoko made his debut for Fiji at the2016 Dubai Sevens.[5]

Early life

Nasoko grew up on the Island of Yawa Levu,[6] an island formed on a volcanicridge at the southern tip of theYasawa group of Islands inFiji. Nasoko's early education was atRatu Naivalu Memorial School, the only school onWaya Island, a two-hour trek along mountainous terrain.[7]
