Kalindi River (Bengali:কালীন্দি নদী) is a tidal estuarine river in and around theSundarbans inNorth 24 Parganas district in theIndianstate ofWest Bengal, bordering onSatkhira District ofBangladesh.[1]
TheIchamati breaks up into several distributaries belowHingalganj the chief of which are theRaimangal,Bidya, Jhilla, Kalindi and Jamuna. These fan out into wide estuaries in the Sundarbans.[2]
