Kakki Reservoir is areservoir, located inPathanamthitta district ofKerala,India.[1] The lake, which was created whenKakki Dam (9°19′31″N77°08′31″E / 9.3253°N 77.1420°E /9.3253; 77.1420) andAnathode dam (9°20′29″N77°09′01″E / 9.3413°N 77.1503°E /9.3413; 77.1503) were built, is on one of the tributaries ofPamba, the Kakki tributary. The dams were built in 1966 as part of theSabarigiri Hydro Electric Project. Full reservoir level (FRL) is 981.45 meters above sea level according to the operators of the "twin" reservoirs, the Kerala State Electricity Board.[2] The reservoir, which is also a tourist spot, is nestled in the Ranni reserve forest, very close to theWestern Ghats.[3]
