Kacey Rohl (born August 6, 1991) is a Canadian actress. She is known for playing Sterling Fitch in the televisioncrime dramaThe Killing,[1] Prudence in the 2011dark fantasy filmRed Riding Hood,[1] andAbigail Hobbs in the television dramaHannibal.[2] Rohl has starred as Jenna Engel in the 2014 television sitcomWorking the Engels,[3] and as Kerry Campbell in the second season of the televisionsci-fi drama seriesWayward Pines.[4] In 2018, she played the lead role of Katie Arneson in the 2018 Canadian psychological thriller filmWhite Lie.[5]

Personal life

Rohl was born in and currently resides inVancouver,British Columbia. Her father is television director and producerMichael Rohl, and her other parent,JD Derbyshire, was a playwright and comedian who also worked in the entertainment industry. She began studying acting when she was 14.[6][7]

Career

Rohl's first prominent acting role was playing Sterling Fitch in the first two seasons of theAMCcrime dramaThe Killing in 2011–2012. Also in 2011, she played Prudence in the 2011dark fantasy filmRed Riding Hood.[1] From 2013 to 2015, Rohl recurred as Abigail Hobbs in theNBC television crime dramaHannibal.[2] She was cast in the starring role of daughter Jenna Engel in the 2014NBC sitcomWorking the Engels.[3]

Beginning in 2015, Rohl recurred as Marina on theSyfy television seriesThe Magicians.[8] In 2016, she appeared in the thirteenth episode of thefifth season of theABC television seriesOnce Upon a Time, playing the role ofMegara.[9] Rohl was cast in the regular role of Kerry Campbell in the second season of theFoxsci-fi drama television seriesWayward Pines which aired mid-2016.[4] From 2017 to 2019, she played the recurring role of Alena onThe CW superhero drama seriesArrow.[10]

Rohl starred in the 2018 Canadian psychological thriller filmWhite Lie, playing the lead role of Katie Arneson.[5] She received aCanadian Screen Award nomination forBest Actress at the8th Canadian Screen Awards for her performance.[11]

She starred as Sabrina Swanson in the 2018Syfy horror television filmKiller High.[12] In July 2019, Rohl was cast in the 2020 Canadian spy thriller seriesFortunate Son.[13][14]
