KIF Örebro DFF is a Swedishwomen's football club based inÖrebro.[1] Founded in 1980 as the women's football section of multi-sports associationKarlslunds IF, the club's first team currently plays in theElitettan, the second-highest level of thewomen's football pyramid in Sweden. The club also operates tworeserve teams at the under-19 and under-17 levels, as well as ayouth academy.
KIF Örebro play their home games atBehrn Arena, which they share with the men's football clubÖrebro SK.
Karlslunds IF, founded in 1920, took up women's football in 1980.[1] By the 2005 season, they became known as KIF Örebro DFF.[2]
In 2014, the first team enjoyed their best ever season, finishing second in the league and qualifying for theUEFA Women's Champions League for the first time in club history.[3]
