Real Presence Radio is alay apostolateCatholictalkradio network in theUnited States, with stations andtranslators (low power re-broadcasters) inNorth Dakota,Minnesota,South Dakota,Wisconsin, andWyoming covering five states and parts of twoCanadian provinces. The network's headquarters and main studios are inFargo, North Dakota. The network also carries some programming from the nationalEWTN Radio network.
Real Presence Radio began on November 6, 2004 following the purchase ofKWTL AM 1370 (then known asKFJM AM) inGrand Forks, covering most of theDiocese of Fargo and theDiocese of Crookston. On February 6, 2009, Real Presence Radio purchasedKVXR AM 1280 inFargo from Voice of Reason Radio.[1] KVXR switched programming from theRelevant Radio network to asimulcast of KWTL, forming the Real Presence Radio network.
On October 22, 2010, the network built and signed on KPHA FM 91.3 inBismarck.Translators (low power rebroadcasters) began broadcasting inMinot (91.1 FM) on February 20, 2011 andWilliston (89.1 FM) on January 20, 2011. On October 16, 2012 Real Presence Radio purchased the KZZQ call letters (formerly used forKPUL inDes Moines Iowa) and began operating 101.9 FM KZZQ, which serves the Dickinson area, and on December 1, 2014, the network began broadcasting on 91.7 KXRP in Bismarck and on December 12, 2014, 104.1 KZTW in Tioga, ND.[1] The network purchased a station in theDuluth-Superior area,WWEN, on February 15, 2016 fromAmerican Family Radio.[2] Effective March, 2018, Real Presence Radio purchasedKGLL inGillette, Wyoming from American Family Radio.[3]
Real Presence Radio is also heard on low power affiliate stations 98.9 KXYM-LP in June 2015 inBelcourt, ND and 99.7 KZEB-LP in September 2014 inJamestown, ND.[1]
