TheKörös class consisted of tworiver monitors built for theAustro-Hungarian Navy during the 1890s. They both served duringWorld War I and were allocated to theKingdom of Yugoslavia after the war by theAllies.Szamos was disarmed and sold into civilian service in 1921 whileKörös was renamedMorava and retained by theRoyal Yugoslav Navy. The ship saw combat during theInvasion of Yugoslavia by theAxis powers in 1941 duringWorld War II, but was ultimatelyscuttled by her crew to prevent her capture.
