Juvenal Mario Olmos Rojas (born October 4, 1962) is aChilean football manager and former player.
Olmos was born inSantiago de Chile. At Católica, he had as teammatesPablo Yoma,Marco Cornez,Miguel Ángel Neira,Mario Lepe,Raimundo Tupper,Luka Tudor andOsvaldo Hurtado.[1]
His management of the Chile national team was unsuccessful, as they failed to get past the first round inCopa América 2004 and he was later fired, five games before the end of the qualifying round for the2006 FIFA World Cup.
In 2006, Olmos competed and won the Chileantalent showEl Baile en TVN (The Dance on TVN).[2]
Olmos was a candidate todeputy for District 24 (La Reina andPeñalolén) in the2009 Chilean parliamentary election as a member ofNational Renewal. In 2021, he was elected councillor for La Reina commune.[3]
Olmos has worked as afootball commentator forTNT Sports Chile, formerlyCanal del Fútbol (CDF) (Channel of Football).[4][5]
