Juvenal Amarijo (November 27, 1923 – October 30, 2009) was a Brazilianfootballer who played as adefender. He was born inSanta Vitória do Palmar,Brazil.
Juvenal Amarijo started his career withCruzeiro-RS, joiningFlamengo in 1949,[1] thenPalmeiras in 1951,[2] moving toBahia in 1954 then retiring in 1959 while defendingYpiranga-BA.[3]
He played for the Brazil in the1950 FIFA World Cup,[3] and was the last surviving Brazilian player from thefinal match of the tournament upon his death on October 30, 2009, at age 85, in the city ofSalvador, inBahia,Brazil, due torespiratory failure.[4]
