Junshan Yinzhen (simplified Chinese:;traditional Chinese:君山;pinyin:Jūnshān Yínzhēn;lit. 'Silver Needle(s) of the Jun Mountain'; Standard Chinese pronunciation[tɕýn.ʂán ǐn.ʈʂə́n]) is ayellow tea fromJunshan Island of theHunan Province inChina. It is considered to be China's rarest tea and one of the TenChinese Famous Teas.

Although the same kind of tea trees are also planted aroundDongting Lake, where Junshan Island is located, those teas should not be called Junshan Yinzhen.[1] The tea resembles theWhite tea Yinzhen known asBai Hao Yinzhen. Junshan Yinzhen,[2] allegedly the preferred tea of ChairmanMao Zedong, is a rare tea sometimes sold asWhite tea.
