Julio Jorge Olarticoechea (born 18 October 1958) is an Argentine formerfootballer who played as adefender. At international level, he representedArgentina at the1986 and the1990 World Cups, winning the former edition of the tournament. Olarticoechea andDiego Maradona were roommates in Mexico at the1986 World Cup.
Olarticoechea played forArgentinos Juniors,Deportivo Mandiyú,River Plate,Boca Juniors andRacing Club in theArgentinian League as well as forFC Nantes in theFrench League.He was manager inTalleres de Remedios de Escalada, Argentina.
