Julian Ryan Eyestone (born 21 May 2006) is an American professionalsoccer player who plays as agoalkeeper forPremier League clubBrentford.
Eyestone is a product of theFC Dallasacademy and theDuke Blue Devils and gained his first senior experience withNorth Texas SC. He began his professional career in England with Brentford in 2024.
Agoalkeeper, Eyestone joined theFC Dallasacademy in 2015.[3] He progressed begin training "on and off" with the first team squad at age 15.[4] Eyestone furthered his progression with 9MLS Next Pro appearances forNorth Texas SC (the club'sreserve team) during the2022 and2023 seasons.[5] His MLS Next Pro performances were such that he was named in the squad for the 2023MLS Next All-Star Game.[6]
Eyestone departed to join college teamDuke Blue Devils in 2023 and made 18 appearances during the2023 ACC season.[7][8] His performances saw him named to the ACC All-Freshman and All-ACC Second teams.[9] In December 2023, Eyestone announced onsocial media that in order to pursue a professional career, he would forego the remainder of his college eligibility.[9]
On 21 June 2024, Eyestone joined theB team atPremier League clubBrentford and signed a three-year contract, with the option of a further year, on afree transfer.[10] He was included in the first team squad for its final2024–25pre-season match and remained an unused substitute.[11] Shortly after the beginning of the regular season, Eyestone kept aclean sheet on a starting appearance in a first team friendly.[12] He was an unused substitute for the first team on two occasions during the 2024–25 regular season and took part in first team training.[13][14] Eyestone made 24 B team appearances during the season and was promoted into the first team squad in July 2025.[13] He signed a new six-year contract, with the option of two further years.[13]
Eyestone was called into United StatesU17training camps in November 2021,[15] August 2022 and April 2023.[16][17] He won twofriendly caps for theU19 team during the 2023–24 season.[18][19] Eyestone won his maiden call into theU20 squad for the2024 CONCACAF U20 Championship and made one appearance during the team's run to the final.[20][21]
Eyestone attendedLone Star High School.[8] As of April 2025, Eyestone was studying online for aliberal arts degree with theUniversity of Pennsylvania.[14]
