Julia Spencer-Fleming (born June 26, 1961)[1][2] is an Americannovelist ofmystery fiction. She has won theAgatha Award,Anthony Award,Macavity Award,Dilys Award,Barry Award,Nero Award, andGumshoe Award. She has also been a finalist for theEdgar Award. Her books feature Clare Fergusson, a retired helicopter pilot turnedEpiscopal priest and Russ Van Alstyne, a police chief. They are set in Millers Kill, a fictional town in upstate New York.

Spencer-Fleming was born inPlattsburgh, New York and has degrees fromIthaca College,George Washington University and theUniversity of Maine School of Law. Spencer-Fleming lives inBuxton, Maine.[1][3]
