Juan Pedro Ramírez López (Spanish pronunciation:[ˈxwamˈpeðɾoraˈmiɾeθˈlopeθ];[a] born 30 April 1991), known asJuanpe ([ˈxwampe]), is a Spanish professionalfootballer who plays as acentre-back forLiga MX clubAtlético San Luis.

Born inLas Palmas,Canary Islands, Juanpe graduated fromUD Las Palmas' youth academy. He made his debut as a senior withthe reserves in 2008, in theTercera División.[2]

On 13 June 2009, Juanpe played his first match as a professional, coming on as a latesubstitute in a 0–0 home draw againstRayo Vallecano in theSegunda División.[3] After afull season with the B side, he was promoted to the first team on 22 June 2010,[4] but spent several months on the sidelines due to a heart condition.[2]

Juanpe scored his first goal in the second division on 21 January 2012, alast-minute header in the 1–1 draw atCE Sabadell FC.[5] On 2 September of the following year he cut ties with the club,[6] and moved toRacing de Santander ofSegunda División B two days later.[7]

Afterachieving promotion to the second tier, Juanpe signed a three-year contract withGranada CF on 12 June 2014, being initially assigned tothe reserves in division three.[8] He returned to Racing on 28 August, penning a one-year loan deal.[9]

On 21 July 2015, Juanpe agreed to a one-year extension with theAndalusians, being also loaned toReal Valladolid in aseason-long move.[10] On 7 July of the following year, he signed a three-year permanent deal withGirona FC also in the second tier.[11]

Juanpe contributed 34 appearances duringthe season, helping the club promote toLa Liga for the first time ever.[12] He made his debut in the competition on 26 August 2017, replacingBorja García late into a 1–0 home win overMálaga CF.[13] He scored his first goal on 29 September, closing the 3–3 draw atRC Celta de Vigo.[14]

Juanpe took part in five games in Girona's first-everparticipation in theUEFA Champions League,[15][16] scoring in the 2–0 home win overŠK Slovan Bratislava on 22 October 2024 through afree kick.[17] On 9 June 2025, the 34-year-old left theEstadi Montilivi, with 265 competitive appearances to his credit.[18]

In June 2025, Juanpe moved abroad for the first time by agreeing to a contract atLiga MX sideAtlético San Luis.[16]
