Jovan "Jovo" Bosančić (Serbian Cyrillic:Јoвo Бocaнчић; born 7 August 1970) is a retiredSerbianfootballer who played as aright midfielder.
Born inNovi Sad,SR Serbia, Bosančić started playing football at the age of 10 when he joined the youth team ofFK Vojvodina.[1] He made his debut as a senior in the1988–89 season and played in theYugoslav First League until 1992.
Bosančić then moved toPortugal where he spent most of his career, playing forC.F. União (two seasons),S.C. Campomaiorense,Barnsley andEn Avant Guingamp, and finishing his career with União'sMadeira neighboursC.D. Nacional.
He helped the Tykesgain promotion to thePremier League for the first time in the club's history, only to beimmediately relegated. Whilst in the Premier League he scored twice, in games againstBlackburn Rovers andSouthampton.[2][3] He retired from football in 2003, at the age of 33.
