Jovica Škoro (Serbian Cyrillic:Јовица Шкоро; born 12 December 1947) is a Serbian formerfootball manager and player.

Playing career

After playing one season forBečej in theVojvodina League, Škoro joinedYugoslav Second League sideNapredak Kruševac in 1969.^[1] He would spend the following decade at the club, becoming the club's all-time leading scorer. In total, Škoro netted 115 league goals in 240 appearances.^[2] He also helped the team win promotion to theYugoslav First League on two occasions in 1976 and 1978. At the height of his career, Škoro scored ahat-trick in a memorable 4–0 friendly win overTottenham Hotspur.^[3]

Managerial career

After hanging up his boots, Škoro served as manager ofNapredak Kruševac on numerous occasions.^[4] He was most notably manager ofSartid Smederevo from October 2000 until his resignation in April 2003,^[5] leading the team to a best-ever third-place league finish in the2001–02 season, as well as reaching theFR Yugoslavia Cup final in thesame year. Later on, Škoro was briefly manager ofSerbian SuperLiga clubsJagodina (2011) andMetalac Gornji Milanovac (2011).^[6]
