Joshua Tordjman (born January 11, 1985) is a Canadian former professionalice hockeygoaltender. He played two games in theNational Hockey League with thePhoenix Coyotes during the2008–09 season. The rest of his career, which lasted from 2006 to 2013, was spent in the minor league and concluded with two seasons in Europe.

Biography

Tordjman, who isJewish,[1] was born inMontreal,Quebec. His parents came fromMorocco.[citation needed] As a youth, he played in the 1998Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with aminor ice hockey team from the Lakeshore area ofMontreal.[2]

In 2009, Tordjman was selected to represent Canada in the World Jewish Hockey Championship inMetulla,Israel.[3]

Playing for thePhoenix Coyotes, Tordjman recorded 23 saves in his first NHL game, a 3–2 loss to theNew York Islanders on March 8, 2008.[citation needed] Tordjman won theYanick Dupre Memorial Award in the2009-10 AHL season, playing for theSan Antonio Rampage.[4]

On June 14, 2011, Tordjman signed a one-year contract with European team, EC Red Bull Salzburg, of the Austrian Hockey League.[5] He played one season for Salzburg before joiningAsiago Hockey 1935 in theItalian league for an additional season, retiring in 2013.
