Joshua Saul Martin (born 9 September 2001) is an English professionalfootballer who plays as a winger forEFL League Two clubCheltenham Town.
Martin joined the academy ofArsenal at the age of 8,[3] and progressed through the various age groups before joiningNorwich City in March 2019 at the age of 17 following a successful trial period with the club'sunder-18 side.[3]
Martin made his professional debut as a late substitute in aPremier League game againstSouthampton on 19 June 2020.[4] He scored his first goal for Norwich in a 2-1 win againstSheffield Wednesday on 5 December 2020.[5]
On 1 July 2021, Martin joinedLeague One clubMilton Keynes Dons on a season-long loan.[6] Following limited opportunities with MK Dons, Martin was recalled on 17 January 2022 and sent back out on loan to another League One club,Doncaster Rovers, for the remainder of the season.[7]
On 31 August 2022, Martin returned to League One when he joinedBarnsley on a season-long loan deal, the club holding the option to make the move permanent.[8]
Martin signed a short-term deal withPortsmouth on 13 November 2023.[9] On 1 May 2024, the club said the player would be released in the summer when his contract ended.[10]
On 27 September 2024, Martin joinedLeague Two sideNotts County on a short-term deal until January 2025.[11]
On 22 January 2025, Martin joinedEFL League Two clubNewport County on a short-term deal until the end of the 2024-25 season with the option to extend.[12] He made his debut for Newport on 24 January 2025 as a second-half substitute in the 2-1 EFL League Two defeat to Swindon Town.[13] He was released by Newport County at the end of the 2024-25 season.[14]
On 15 August 2025, Martin joinedCheltenham Town on a one-year deal following a trial period with the club.[15]
