Jose Panachippuram (born 24 August 1951 inVazhoor,Kottayam District,Kerala, India) is a notedshort story writer,novelist andjournalist inMalayalam. He is working as the Editorial Director ofMalayala Manorama daily and Editor in-charge ofBhashaposhini.[1] He won theKerala Sahithya Academy Award in 2005 for the novelKannadiyile Mazha. His columnTharangangalil holds the record for being the longest-running column in Malayalam, having been written for 45 years and still continuing.[2]

He has been the brain behind Manorama's famous pocket cartoonKunchukkuruppu for the past 34 years. He has also written more than 30 books.Tharangangalil won theP. Kesavadev Literary Award in 2007.[3]

He Joined Malayala Manorama in 1975. His columnSnehapoorvam inBhashaposhini completed 35 years. He also wrote a column namedShoonyavela inManorama Weekly.
