José Miguel Nieves Pinto (born June 16, 1975) is a Venezuelan former professional baseballshortstop. He played for theChicago Cubs (1998–2000) andAnaheim Angels (2001–02) ofMajor League Baseball (MLB). He batted and threw right-handed.
In a five-season career, Nieves was a .242 hitter with ninehome runs and 51RBI in 212games.
He became manager of theDayton Dragons in 2013 to 2015, after being coach for several seasons within the Cincinnati Reds organization.[1]
