He was nominated for anAcademy Award for Best Film Editing for127 Hours (2010).[1]
Harris received aBritish Independent Film Award (BIFA) for Best Technical Achievement 2005 for his work onNeil Marshall'sThe Descent (2005).
In 2011 Harris was nominated for anAcademy Award (Oscar) and aBritish Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award for his editing work onDanny Boyle's127 Hours (2010) and subsequently became a member of the AmericanAcademy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
