Jonathan Bass (born September 22, 1986) is an American actor, known for his roles inShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law,Super Pumped,Baywatch, and the comedy seriesBig Time in Hollywood, FL andMiracle Workers.

Early life and education

Bass grew up inBellaire, Texas, and attendedBellaire High School, graduating in 2005.[1] He graduated fromBoston University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree inTheatre Arts. He isJewish.[2][3][4]

Career

Following college, he moved toNew York City and began his professional acting career. Bass auditioned for the role of Elder Cunningham in the Broadway musicalThe Book of Mormon, but was not cast. A year later, he was cast in the role in theDenver andLos Angeles productions and went on to replaceJosh Gad in the role on Broadway.[1][5]

In 2014, he played a small role in theHBO comedy seriesGirls, and then had minor guest roles inThe Newsroom andHouse of Lies. Later in 2015, he was cast in a lead role in theComedy Central's seriesBig Time in Hollywood, FL, portraying Del Plimpton.[1][5][6]

In 2016, he played real-life attorneyPhilip Hirschkop in the historical filmLoving. In 2017, he appeared in the filmAll Nighter.[7][5][8] He played the role ofC.J. Parker's significant other, Ronnie Greenbaum in the action comedy filmBaywatch, along withZac Efron andDwayne Johnson,[5][9][10] and appeared inMolly's Game, directed byAaron Sorkin.[1]

Bass portrays a fictionalized version ofUber cofounderGarrett Camp oppositeJoseph Gordon-Levitt in the drama seriesSuper Pumped which premiered in 2022.[11] The show is based on Mike Isaac's2019 book of the same name.[12]

Since 2022, he has portrayedTodd Phelps in theDisney+ seriesShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law.[13]
