John Anthony Morrison (born 11 March 1938) was theArchdeacon of Oxford from 1998 until 2005.[1]
Morrison was educated atHaileybury and Imperial Service College andJesus College, Cambridge. He wasordained in 1964[2] and began his ordained ministry as thechaplain ofLincoln College, Oxford after which he was theVicar ofBasildon, Berkshire and theRural Dean ofBradfield After this he was thevicar ofAylesbury and thenArchdeacon ofBuckingham, a position he held until 1998.[3] He was then theArchdeacon of Oxford until his retirement in 2005.
