John McQuilliam (born 3 August 1962) is a Formula One car designer from England.
He worked forWilliams from 1986 and subsequentlyArrows[1] as a composite engineer before joiningJordan. After Jordan was purchased byMidland Group in 2005, McQuilliam remained with the team until it was sold again toSpyker Cars in 2007. At the end of 2007 he left Spyker and then worked for Wirth Research, a company owned byNick Wirth, as an aerodynamics expert.
In March 2014, McQuilliam was back in F1 as a technical expert/designer forMarussia, which continued into 2015 withManor Marussia F1 Team. For the 2016 season, he was appointed as Technical Director. After the demise of Manor Racing, McQuilliam joinedProdrive, working as Chief Engineer in their composites division.
In 2024, McQuilliam joinedAndretti Global to serve as the team's chief designer for their upcomingCadillac Formula One Team, which plans to enter the sport in 2026.[2]
