John Maxim (20 July 1925 — 20 January 1990), sometimes credited asJohn Wills,[2] was an Englishfilm andtelevisionactor.[3]
Between 1958 and 1988, he appeared in six films and nine television productions[2] including the filmsThe Frightened City (1961),She (1965), andDracula: Prince of Darkness (1966).[3] His television work includedguest appearances inIvanhoe,The Adventures of William Tell as Trooper Strauss in episode 24, "The Ensign" and Captain Markheim in episode 25, "The Unwelcome Stranger", as well asThe Prisoner.[4][5][6] He also appeared in twoDoctor Who serials:The Chase asFrankenstein's monster andThe Moonbase as aCyberman (the latter credited as John Wills).[7]
