John Kladas (Greek:Ιωάννης ΚλαδάςIoannis Kladas;fl. 1400) was aByzantine composer. He had the post oflampadarius in the cathedral ofHagia Sophia ofConstantinople. He wrote several works on the theory of music, the most important being theGrammatike tes mousikes (The Grammar of Music).[1]
His daughter was a chanter and hymnographer, known only from one composition.[2]
