John Christopher Fine ofScarsdale, New York is amarine biologist with adoctor of jurisprudence degree and has dived onshipwrecks all over the world. He is a Master Scuba Instructor[1] and Instructor Trainer, and the author of over two dozen books on almost as many topics, including award-winning books dealing withocean pollution. He has authored bothfiction andnon-fiction books.
Theliaison officer of theUnited Nations Environment Programme and theConfédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques, Fine is afellow of theExplorers Club[2] and a member of theAcademy of Underwater Arts and Sciences, a recognition he received in honor of his numerous books in the field of juvenile education. He has been the recipient of international recognition for his pioneering work investigatingtoxic waste contamination of our land and waterresources.[3][4][5]
