John Bruno is an Americanvisual effects artist andfilmmaker known for his prolific collaborations with directorJames Cameron on films likeTerminator 2: Judgment Day,True Lies,Titanic,Avatar, andThe Abyss, for which he won theAcademy Award for Best Visual Effects.^[1]

He has also contributed to otherblockbuster films includingGhostbusters,Batman Returns,Cliffhanger,X-Men: The Last Stand, andKingsman: The Secret Service. He also directed the 1999science fiction horror filmVirus, starringJamie Lee Curtis andDonald Sutherland.

He currently holds five Oscar nominations and twoBAFTA Award nominations.
