JoeySat is atechnology demonstrator satellite developed by theEuropean Space Agency (ESA), theUK Space Agency (UKSA), andEutelsat OneWeb.[1][2] During its two-year primary mission between 2023 and 2025, thesatellite has successfully demonstrated various innovative technologies forcommunication satellites including "beam-hopping", where the satellite can swiftly switch its coverage between different locations, responding rapidly to changes in demand.[3][4][5]JoeySat was launched on 20 May 2023 on aFalcon 9 rocket.[6][7][8][9]
