Joel Rintala (born 24 July 1996)[1] is an Australianfield hockey player, who plays as a forward.[2]
Joel Rintala was born and raised in Townsville, Queensland.[2][3]
He is currently in a relationship with Australian swimmer,Shayna Jack.[4]
Rintala is a member of theBrisbane Blaze inAustralia's national league, theSultana Bran Hockey One. He made his debut in theinaugural season of the league.[5][6]
Following his 2019 debut, he appeared inseason two in 2022.[7]
Rintala made his international debut at under–21 level during the2017 Sultan of Johor Cup. He was a member of theBurras gold medal winning campaign.[8][9]
In 2022, Rintala was named in theKookaburras squad for the first time.[2] He will make his debut for the team in 2023.[8]
