Judith ("Jodi") Anderson (born November 10, 1957, inChicago, Illinois) is a retiredheptathlete from theUnited States. While attending college atCalifornia State University, Northridge,[1] Anderson qualified for the 1980 U.S. Olympic team, but did not compete due to the U.S. Olympic Committee'sboycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Russia. She was one of 461 athletes to receive aCongressional Gold Medal instead.[2] She set the world's best year performance in the women'slong jump in 1981. She did compete for her native country at the1984 Summer Olympics inLos Angeles, California.[citation needed]
